William "Bill" C. Paton

With his family by his side, William C. “Bill” Paton, age 58, passed away peacefully at his residence on Thursday, November 30, 2017. William was born in Racine on August 16, 1959, son of the late William and Carol (nee: Thompson) Paton.

Bill was a graduate of the Prairie School. He was employed as a marine technician at the Riverside Marina. Bill also affectionately known as “Buzz” will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor, love of country music, his willingness to always give a helping hand and his great love for his family.

Bill will be dearly missed by his fiancée, Cheri Lewis; daughter, Ryan Marie Paton; son, Andrew Paton; granddaughter, Breonna Paton; sisters and brother, Judy (John) Olson, Georgia (Randy) Bednar, Barbara Paton, Mary (Mike) Bartsch, Mavis (Paul) Rohling, Dr. Robert Paton; brother-in-law, Bob Dick; nieces and nephews, Emily (Matt) Metz, Christian (Melissa) Olson, Bennett (Missy) Olson, Timothy (Melissa) Olson, Erica (Nathan) Grunst, Becky (David) Thompson, Tony Bednar, Lenora (Adam) Herrera, Kyle Burdick, Paul Burdick, Guy Bartsch, Elizabeth Bartsch, Carol (Tyler) Barg; great nieces and great nephews, Lilly, Eva, Sovereign, John, Gabriella, Grace, David, Rylee, Andrew, Megan, Matthew, Henley, Daxton, Layke and Layla; as well as other relatives and many friends. Bill was a special father figure to Lindsey Mastos, Melissa Latham, Cori Saldana, Heidi Rhodes and Katie Gutzman. In addition to his parents, Bill was also preceded in death by his son, William Richard Paton and his sister, Kathryn Dick.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, 6:00 p.m. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at 6:00 p.m.
