Wesley Smith

Wesley E. Smith, age 62, of Portage, MI passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at home. Wesley was born May 8, 1953 in Hastings the son of Wesley and Lorraine (Hodges) Smith. He was a dedicated employee of Borroughs Manufacturing for over 36 years and a member of the labor union. Wesley enjoyed comic books, model cars, drawing and was a talented artist. On November 12, 1977 in Kalamazoo Wesley was united in marriage to the former Julie Ledlow, who survives, also surviving is a son Ryan Smith of Kalamazoo and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a half-sister Janice. Friends are being received 6-8 pm Sunday August 30, 2015 at Redmond Funeral Home, Kalamazoo where services will be held 11 am Monday. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Reverence Hospice.
