Wencel G. Sisak, age 91, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016 at Aurora St. Luke’s South Shore, Cudahy. He was born in Racine, October 11, 1924 son of the late Mathew and Agnes (Nee: Chvilicek) Sisak. Being the first generation born in the United States, he was very proud of his Czechoslovakian heritage.

On September 4, 1948 Wencel was united in marriage to Irene Kralicek who preceded him in death on June 28, 2011. He was employed as a Tool and Die Maker and Tool Inspector at E.C. Styberg for forty-seven years until his retirement in 1990. Wencel was a lifetime member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church and a longtime member of the Catholic Men’s Association. Wencel was actively involved in scouting for over twenty years serving as a Troop Committee member, Merit Badge Counselor and enjoyed attending many campouts. He was the proud recipient of the Bronze Pelican. He also enjoyed cooking, woodworking, vegetable gardening, but above all cherished time spent with his family.

Surviving are his children, James Sisak of Mount Pleasant; John (Kate) Sisak of MI; Joanne (William) Robertson, Jerold (Julie) Sisak, all of Racine; his grandchildren, Matthew and Kathryn; brother, Matthew Sisak, sister, Helen Urbush, both of Racine; brothers-in-law, Leo Ebinal of FL, Charles Kralicek of NY; nieces, nephews other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his brother Frank; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary (William) LaBlanc, Blanche (Henry) Adamowicz, Agnes (Paul) Zupek, Sue Sisak and Richard Urbush.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 29, 2016, 11:00 A.M., at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church, 1903 Green St. with Rev. Steve Varghese and Rev. Stephen Stradinger concelebrating. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family for visitation Thursday at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and Friday at the church from 10:30 A.M. until time of Mass at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. John Nepomuk and St. Mary’s by the Lake Catholic Churches have been suggested by the family.

A special thank you to Wencel’s caregivers at Oak Creek Place and to the doctors and nurses at Aurora St. Luke’s South Shore for their loving and compassionate care.
