Wanda J. Ranney, age 60, of Portage, MI passed away suddenly and unexpectedly October 7, 2017 Born October 28, 1956 in Wayne, Michigan. She spent her childhood in Garden City before moving to Three Rivers and finally to Portage, Michigan. Wanda had many hobbies, especially her Grandchildren, gardening, animals, traveling, camping, Sunday family gatherings, and quilting. She loved making quilts for friends and family members. Summer vacations were spent in a travel trailer with Ron and their dog Mingo sightseeing and camping across the USA. Holidays and weekends were enjoyed camping at Lake Michigan with family and friends. Contributing to many charities, Wanda spent countless hours shopping for children's clothes, then distributing them to the needy at Christmas time. Wanda was employed 27 years with Cablevision/Charter Communications where employees contributed funds and labor planting a garden dedicated to her memory. Wanda leaves behind the ones she shared her love with. Husband, Ronald Ranney, daughters Michelle Hill and Cheryl(Steve)Vansickle, grandchildren Jenison and Bryan O'Connor and Joshua and Jeremy Vansickle, special cousins Kim Dillon and Patricia Wagner, and other family members and friends. As per her wishes, cremation has taken place & a private family celebration was held. Wanda's passing leaves a void that will never be filled. Her unselfish love and compassion will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and anyone fortunate enough to have known her.
