Virginia Viola Webster, “Ginny,” age 88, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018, at her residence. She was born in Racine, September 7, 1929, daughter of the late Herman and Soffie (Nee: Christofferson) Johnsen.

On November 8, 1958, she was married to Alvin Webster, who preceded her in death on October 26, 2006. Ginny retired from Western Publishing Company after 44 years of service. She and Al loved to travel by car throughout the US. Locally they loved to square dance. She was a longtime member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Family was important to Ginny, and she took numerous pictures at all family events. She will be dearly missed.

Surviving are her sister Beulah June, of Cambria, CA, sister-in-law Virginia Johnson, Racine, WI, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Ginny was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters: Harold Johnsen, Clarence Johnsen, Rose Johnsen, Mable (Loyal) Phetteplace, Myrtle Cogswell, Robert Johnsen, Genevra (Louis) Planert, Howard (Bev) Johnson, Cornel Johnson, Opal Butterfield, Jerome Johnsen, LeRoy (Marie) Johnsen, Marcella (Arvid) Nelson and Deloris (James) Ahmad.

Funeral services will be held at the Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home, Friday, February 16, 2018, at 6:00 P.M. with Rev. Denise Mbise officiating; visitation from 4:00 P.M. until time of service. Private interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to caregivers Debbie, Kathy, Lynn and Tim for their loving and compassionate care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be given to Living Faith Lutheran Church Food Bank.
