Virginia McGrew

Ginger passed away on September 15, 2017 at her home. She was born on February 26, 1938 in Kenton, OH, the daughter of the late Ralph and Dorothy (Drake) Sheldon. On April 16, 1962, she was united in marriage to Marvin L. McGrew. Ginger was a member of Green Meadow Bible Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling the country with her husband, ceramics, and making chocolate candy. Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Marvin McGrew; two daughters: Kathleen (Mike) Mott and Sara Sanford; four grandchildren: Renee (Jeremiah) Roe, Rande Reichenbach, Brenton (Michaella) Reichenbach and Cody Melbow; and eight great-grandchildren: Jayden, Brooklynn, Abbygail, Grace, Tina, Robert, Jason and Mia. Preceding her in death were four children: Sue Ellen Melbow; Lee Ann Joy McGrew (baby), Daniel McGrew (baby) and Colleen Hodge (baby). A funeral service to celebrate Ginger's life will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, September 20, at Green Meadow Bible Baptist Church, 6914 E. ML Ave, where friends may visit with the family from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Interment will follow in Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan or Operation Smile. Arrangements were entruted to Langeland Family Funeral Homes.
