Passed away July 22, 2018, at Cedar Cove Assisted Living in Cedarville. She had resided in Three Rivers for many years, moving to the Upper Peninsula within the past two years. She was born Vincenza Catolica May 22, 1927 to Dominico and Antonina (nee Sanfillipo) Catolica in Kalamazoo. She married William Haines October 5, 1946. She retired from Rose Auto Parts where she was an office manager. Ginny was a devoted wife and mother, extremely generous to all and especially to her family helping them have a better life. She loved baking and many businesses and doctors' offices will miss the cakes and breads she always brought them. She and Bill took yearly hunting trips out west and spent every winter fishing in the Florida Keys. They loved to hit every casino along the way. No man has ever had a more devoted wife, and his devotion was returned to her full measure. Ginny is survived by her daughter, Nancy Barron of Hessel, Granddaughters Elisa (Paul) Schmidt of Lansing, Emily (Jeremy) Wright of Marquette and a brother Frank (Nancy) Caro of Kalamazoo. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband who died September 11, 2013, four brothers and a sister. Memorial contributions may be directed to Upper Peninsula Bible Camp, PO Box 338, Little Lake, MI 49833. Dodson Funeral Home of St. Ignace assisted the family with arrangements. No services are planned.
