Violet Jackson

Age 77, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2018. Violet was born in Kalamazoo on September 18, 1940, the daughter of the late Samuel and Viola (Slesdet) Adams. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Adam Brown; brother, Charles Adams and sisters, Mary Jackson and Norma VanFleet. On April 30, 1965, Violet was united in marriage to Douglas D. Jackson who survives. She is also survived by a son, Matthew (Sally Smith) Jackson; daughter, Kathrine Smith; grandchildren, Alexis and Andrew Brown and Wyatt Smith; brother, Sam (Mary Ann) Adams; sister, Ruby Shupe and several nieces, nephews and in-laws. Violet was a caring person who loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed crocheting and genealogy research. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Joldersma & Klein Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at 1:00 PM. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery. A time of visitation will take place at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, c/o the funeral home.
