Viola Toland

Age 104, was called home into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on February 11, 2018, at the Lady Lake Specialty Care in The Villages, Florida. She was born in Benton Harbor, MI on October 27, 1913. Vi was a longtime resident of Kalamazoo, MI. She was an active member of the Kalamazoo Garden Club for many years. She was also a member of the First Congregational Church and enjoyed playing bridge. Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Toland, mother Lulu French Baldwin, and sister Louise Lane Furst. She is survived by her three children: Janet Schlegel (Don), Gregg Toland (Betsy), and Robert R. Toland (Patricia). She was "Nana" to her 7 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Florin Funeral Home, 1053 East Napier Ave, Benton Harbor, MI 49022, on Wednesday, February 21s,t, at 11 AM. (269) 926-7222. There will be a greeting by the family at 10:00 AM, prior to the service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Crystal Springs Cemetery.
