Vincent "Vince" Butler, 82, of Grand Junction, MI passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Wings Home in Allegan. Born September 23, 1937 in Lee Township, he was the son of the late Al and Ann (Gosling) Osman. On December 17, 1955 Vince married Virginia May Walker. They shared nearly sixty-five years of memories together and were able to watch their family grow larger and stronger through the next generations. Vince served his country honorably in the United States Army. His eldest child, Judy, was born in Germany, where he was stationed at the time. Vince retired from Wheaton Van Lines after forty years of faithful employment. He went back to work shortly thereafter, this time for Drozd Farms, and retired again after spending eleven years with them. Vince loved to work on and ride John Deere tractors. He looked forward to hosting summer picnics where he was able to enjoy all of his grandchildren playing in the pool. He was a witty man who was also incredibly generous. In addition to his wife, Virginia, Vince is survived by his children, Judy Munn and Timothy Butler; brother, Al (Jane) Osman; grandchildren, Brett Butler, Amanda Butler, Lisa Munn and Kelly (Jason) Schuyler; great-grandchildren, Aidyn Underwood, Tristan Schuyler, Parker Schuyler, Gabe Schuyler, Sophie Schuyler, Landon Butler and Izabella Wilcox-Smith; sisters-in-law, Marie Walker and Sandy (Butch) Holubar; and many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Benjamin Munn; and brothers, Lawrence Butler, Robert Butler, Chuck Butler and Don Osman. The family will receive friends at Gorden Funeral Residence on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. Burial in Pearson Cemetery will follow. Memorial contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice, 530 Linn Street, Allegan, MI 49010.
