Victoria Anne (Burrow) Honda, age 64, of Parchment, Michigan passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016 after a fearless 12 year battle with cancer. Vickie was born May 12, 1952 and grew up in Comstock, Michigan. In January 1971, she married Ron Honda, and raised 3 sons: Stephen, Terry and Del. Sadly, Ron preceded her in death in November 2015. Vickie worked various jobs throughout her life, but her most enjoyable was as a seamstress. She worked for many years at Nimble Thimble (as well as Whitman Saddle), where every day she brought donuts and coffee to her co-workers. Vickie died, much as she lived her life: on her own terms and on her own time frame. Vickie was preceded in death by her sister Karen, mother Ida and her husband of 45 years Ron. Vickie is survived by her father, Burse Borden; sons Del (Angie) Honda, Terry Honda and Stephen "Kelly" Honda. Four grandchildren: Heather (Andrew) Honda-Anthony, Tony (Billee) Honda, Bryanna Honda and Veronica Honda, as well as 3 great grandsons. She is also survived by her sisters Colleen Borden (Stanley Soule) and Linda (Brad) Wright, brother Kenn (TJ) Burrow and many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Vickie's life on September 9th 2016, visitation with family at 1030 am with service at 11 am, at the Kalamazoo Missionary Church 5045 E. Michigan Avenue in Kalamazoo, Michigan 49048. Vickie was an amazing woman who above all else loved her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother and friend who will be greatly missed.
