Vicki Skinner

Skinner, Vicki L. 8/29/1946 - 10/26/2017 Kalamazoo Passed away at her daughter's home in Kalamazoo on October 26, 2017 after a long journey with Dementia. Vicki was born August 29, 1946 in Allegan to George and Bernadine (Gates) Baker. She graduated from Bloomingdale High School in 1965 and spent the majority of her life in the Bloomingdale/Gobles area before moving to Kalamazoo County. Vicki spent many years volunteering and fundraising at Gobles Public Schools before returning to the work force. She worked at Stryker Instruments for 20+ years before retiring in 2009. Vicki's favorite past times were photographing the lighthouses along the Michigan coastlines and viewing the amazing sunsets from the beaches in South Haven. Surviving are her daughter, Tori Skinner, and grand-dogs, George B and Scarlet of Kalamazoo; eight brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Tanna and Betty Baker. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place, and an open house will be held at the Gobles Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home, www.dlmillerfuneralhome.com, on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 2-4 PM. The family would like to thank Great Lakes Caring Hospice for their many years of care, kindness and support.
