ROEDEMA, Thomas A.
Walker, MI
Age 61, passed away suddenly June 28, 2018. Tom was born January 28, 1957 in Grand Rapids. He was a carpenter by trade, but it was a God given gift that he selflessly used on many mission trips. Tom enjoyed a close association with Standale Lumber and was a member of Richmond Reformed Church. He will be missed by his loving wife of 38 years, Janice; mother, Beverly Roedema; siblings, Karen (Tom) VanderKam of Grand Rapids, Mark (Jill) Roedema of Grand Rapids, Dan (Diane) Roedema of Cedar Springs, Ellen (Brent) Pawloski of Plainfield Township; and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are mother in law, Ruth VanMullen; brother and sister in law, Dan & Dory VanMullen; special friends, Doug & Michele DeBok, Doug & Jenni Hoonhorst; and “Dutch”, Tom's dog. Tom was preceded in death by his father, John Roedema. A funeral service will be held Monday, July 2 at 11 AM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, 2120 Lake Michigan Drive NW. Friends may visit family Sunday from 1:30-3:30, 6-8 PM and beginning at 10 AM Monday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Michigan Heart Association or Richmond Reformed Mission Fund.
