Pryson , Timothy Scott 6/29/1963 - 8/8/2020 Novi, Michigan NOVI – Timothy "Tim" S. Pryson of Novi, Michigan passed away one year ago on August 8, 2020 at the age of 57 in Henry Ford Hospital in West Bloomfield Michigan. Tim was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, engineer, athlete, and friend to all that knew him. He was born on June 29, 1963 at Borgess Hospital (now Ascension Borgess) in Kalamazoo Michigan. Tim graduated from Portage Northern High School in 1981. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Lawrence Technological University (formerly Lawrence Institute of Technology) in Southfield Michigan in 1987. He was a Senior Manager at Yazaki North America in Canton Michigan and loyal employee for 33 years. Tim was a world traveler and linguist. He spoke Japanese, German and Spanish. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing at Elks-Prairies Golf Club in Kalamazoo with his Dad, and at courses in the Novi/Detroit areas. Tim was a bowler, tennis player, snowboarder and motorcyclist. He loved home improvement projects and being "Mr. Fix It" for family, friends and neighbors. He was member of the Society of Engineers and parishioner at St. James Catholic Church in Novi Michigan. Loving husband of Rosemarie (Garaza) for 32 years. They were expatriates in Japan and Germany for Tim's job and established their family in Novi Michigan. He is dear father of Victoria and Scott. Son of Karen Boss of Kalamazoo and Mike (Marlene) Pryson of Kalamazoo. Grandson of Angie Wittrock of Kalamazoo. Brother of Michael T. (Lori), Pryson of Jackson Michigan, Briana "Buffy" Pryson (Will) Simpson, Joel Pryson and Mikelle Martin all of Kalamazoo. Uncle of Paige Pryson of Grand Rapids Michigan, Haylie Pryson of Seattle, Washington, Chloe Pryson of Jackson, Michigan and Patrick Martin of Kalamazoo. He is preceded in death by his grandfather Clement Wittrock, aunts and uncles. The family would like to extend thanks to the O-Brien/Sullivan Funeral Home and St. James Catholic Church both in Novi Michigan for beautiful funeral services in 2020. Also heartfelt appreciation to Pastor Jim Dyke of St Andrew Community Church, for being part of the service at Tim's final resting place at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kalamazoo, Michigan on the day of his interment. The Tim Pryson Kidney Cancer Research Fund has been created in Tim's honor at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit Michigan. The purpose of the fund is to support research to improve outcomes of patients with kidney cancer and to help innovate new treatments. The fund will help support education and training of future leaders in kidney cancer research and help support research projects and presentation of research at national meetings.
