Thomas Shahan

Thomas Raymond Shahan, age 91, resident of Bradenton, FL, passed away on April 18, 2017. Tom was born to Gertude Shahan and Joseph Raymond Shahan on March 6, 1926. One of four children, a brother John, and two sisters listed below who preceeded him in death. He went to school at Riverside Brookfield, and graduated from College at Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL. He is survived by his wife Carol of 54 years, who he met while working for Steel Warehousing in Chicago, with territories in Micnigan and Indiana. He met Carol in Kalamazoo MI, where they lived for 38 years, then as snowbirds lived in Bradenton, FL for the next 16 years. Survivors are her children, Randall, Richard, Lawrence and Linda Atkinson. Tom took ill in 2016. His remaining survivors are children of his deceased sister Mary Spicer, Andrew Kopetsky and Gizelle Neeley and four children of deceased sister Martha Patton. Michael Patton, Katherine Bieger, Jennifer Gregory, and James Patton. Final remains will be laid to rest at a later time. Memorials may be sent to Tidewell or Hospice.
