Thomas Anders

Tommy Anders, age 21, of Battle Creek, MI, died unexpectedly and tragically due to a homicide on Saturday, July 22, 2017 in Kalamazoo, Ml. Tommy was born on June 9,1996 in Kalamazoo and was a 2014 graduate of Gull Lake High School of Richland, MI. He had been employed at Landscape Forms of Comstock. Tom Tom was an avid snow and skate boarder, enjoyed fishing, dirt bike riding, kayaking, hunting, and was a very good sketch artist Tom Tom is survived by his Momma, Mary S. Ponicki and Pops, Scott M. Ackley, with whom he resided; his father, Dennis J. Anders of Delton, Ml; maternal grandparents, Russell & Jan Ford of Fort Myers, FL and formerly of Delton; paternal grandparents, Karl & Barb Anders of Delton; step grandparents, Stu & Kandy Ackley of Battle Creek; Dorothy Ackley of Richland; 3 uncles; Jim Ponicki of South Carolina, Jeff (Kathy Keller) Ford of Rockford, James (Jennifer) Ackley of Augusta; 6 aunts; Paula Ponicki of Mount Pleasant, Lyn (Mark) Rey of Kalamazoo, Deb Anders, Diane Lancaster, Darlene (Charlie) Diggs and Denise (Larry) Herbert, all of Delton; many cousins; numerous friends and his two best Buds, his dogs, Duke and Naddie. The Memorial Service to celebrate Tommy's life will be held on Saturday, July 29th at 11:00 a.m. at the Radiant Church, 8157 East DE Avenue, Richland, Ml 49083 with Mike Kemple of Missional Chaplains of the Kalamazoo Public Safety Department, officiating. The Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel (269-629-6022) is assisting Tommy's family.
