Ted Stocchiero

Ted Stocchiero, Jr., age 69, of Bangor, MI passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016 at his home after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Ted was born May 24, 1947 in Lawrence, MI the son of Theodore and Helen (Kardynal) Stocchiero Sr. and has lived all of his life in the Bangor area. Ted's life revolved around his family and farm. He owned and operated Stocchiero Farms with his father, brother and son, for many years where they raised fruit, vegetables, and turkeys. He had a love of farming that he has passed on to his children and grandchildren. Ted was a member of St. Basil Catholic Church, and was a longtime member of Tanglefoot Square Dance Club. Surviving are his wife, Mary whom he married Dec. 16, 1972; 2 children, Tony (Stephanie) Stocchiero of Bangor, Sarah (Jason) Healy of Port Byron, IL; 10 grandchildren, Stephen, Lee, Joe, Will, and Sam Stocchiero, Daniel, Marcella, Helen, Johanna, and Heidi Healy; sister, Patricia (Chuck) Weber of Bangor; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, John. The family will meet friends 5-8 PM Thursday at the Bangor Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bangor. Interment will follow in Hoppin Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be made to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society or the St. Basil Catholic School.
