Taylor Krause Oglesby, 34, born January 19, 1982, died at his home July 12, 2016.

Taylor (TKO) attended Racine Montessori School, West Ridge, Walden and Case where he was an honor roll student, played tennis, was on prom court, was voted “Best Looking,” and attended Badger Boys’ State. After high school, Taylor attended UW-Madison, Florida A&M University, and later, Gateway.

Taylor brightened peoples’ day with his infectious smile and friendly disposition. He was the creative sort: a prize winning artist, a musician along with his friends Joe Patterson and Corey Schmidt, and was studying photography. He had a flair for fashion with his coordinated outfits of hats, bow ties, shoes, accessories and hair styles.

Despite all his accomplishments, Taylor was hindered by bipolar disorder and a multitude of physical problems, like fibromyalgia. He longed for a week without pain and was always hoping for medical advances that would alleviate his suffering.

Taylor is survived by his grieving parents, Wilbert/Al Oglesby and Kathy Krause, older brother Brent Krause Oglesby, nephew Ashe Oglesby and his fiancé Katie Hall and their expectant child. Taylor and Katie had planned to marry in August. He was excited about pending parenthood. Taylor is also survived by his grandparents Bob and Carol Krause of Waukesha, WI, aunt Karla (Jesse) Sterner of New London, WI, uncle Gary (Sandy) Krause of Waukesha, aunts Gladys (Vincent) Uriah, Sharon (Steve) Norris, Annette (Julius) Oglesby-Sims, and Catherine (Arnold, d.) Oglesby, all of Georgia. TKO was close to his many cousins, and had tons of friends. The family is grateful to all of you. Taylor was predeceased by his younger brother, Phillip Krause Oglesby (PKO) and paternal grandparents.

Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the funeral home from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. A reception will follow. Flowers are welcome, but contributions to his and Katie’s yet to be born child would be appreciated: https://www.gofundme.com/babyOglesby.
