Perjesi, Mr. Tamas "T.P" 11/11/1949 - 10/1/2015 Paw Paw Age 65, passed away at his home on Thursday, October 1, 2015. He was born in Budapest, Hungary, on November 11, 1949, the son of the late Kalman and Jolan (Gergye) Perjesi Sr. Tamas came to the United States during the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. He graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School, class of 1969. He then enlisted in the U.S. Army, was stationed in Korea, and was honorably discharged. After returning, he began working for the U.S. Postal Services where he worked for several decades. When not working he enjoyed spending time with his very large "family of friends," at his country acres nature sanctuary. Tamas loved being outdoors fishing, hunting, gardening, and bird watching. He also loved spending time with his faithful companion dogs, "Lucy" and "Chompers". Tamas had a fun personality and was a joy to be around. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend who leaves behind many wonderful memories. Tamas is survived by his aunt, Margit Gergye; brother, Kalman Perjesi Jr.; sister, Linda Perjesi-Miller; sister-in-law, Carol (Alex) Perjesi; nieces, nephews, cousins, Kal (Sarah) Perjesi, Christopher (Tasha) Perjesi, Stephen Perjesi, Dan Miller, Kellie Garcia, Scott Hillard, Andy Gergye, Tom Gergye; many great friends. Tamas was also preceded in passing by a brother, Sandor "Alex" Perjesi; uncle, Sandor Gergye; cousin, Sandor Gergye Jr. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, October 10, 2015, beginning at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Jim Dyke officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the Kalamazoo Animal Rescue Project, or the Kalamazoo Nature Center, c/o of the funeral home.
