Suzanne Pulling

Age 83, died on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at Rose Arbor Hospice. She was born on May 13, 1933 in Stamford, CT and graduated from Skidmore College in Saratoga, NY with a degree in both Physical Education and Biology. She married Benjamin Pulling in 1955 and they were united in marriage for 53 years until his death in 2008. Suzanne was a quilter at heart and made several works of art over the years which have become treasures to both family and friends. She enjoyed teaching others to learn to quilt at Dancing Dogs in Plainwell and was a member of the Westwood United Methodist Church. Members of her family include her 3 sons: Michael (Carmela) Pulling, Ted Pulling and David Pulling. Other members of her family include her 6 grandchildren: Justin, Meghann Locke-Ollie, Jarod, Matthew, Alexandra, and Johnathon; and 2 sisters: Polly Sensiba and Leslie McGowan. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by a grandson, Adam Pulling in 2004; 2 sisters: Christine and Virginia; and a brother, Roger. Cremation has taken place and services for Suzanne will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at the Westwood United Methodist Church, 538 Nichols Rd. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at a reception in the church.
