Suzanne Bouwens, age 73, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at her home with her family by her side. Suzanne was born in Wausau, WI, May 10, 1944, daughter of the late Kenneth and Adeline (Nee: Van Landuyt) White.

Suzanne was raised in Kenosha and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School “Class of 1962”. On July 2, 1970 she was united in marriage to John O. Bouwens. She was employed by S.C. Johnson Wax for fourteen years, retiring in 2004. Suzanne was a member of the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, camping, cards, square dancing, knitting, canning, needle point, bird watching, book reading, enjoyed going to S.C. Johnson Lighthouse Resort.

She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of forty-seven years, John; her children, Michelle (Steve) Gautsch – Hlavacek of Phillips, WI; Marvlynn Bouwens–Link of Mukwonago, Matthew (Angelica Ramos) Bouwens of Franklin; son-in-law, Eric Stoner of Beloit; 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, James (Christine) White of Salem Lakes; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kenneth Otte of Hurley, Gloria Sikes of Racine, Rocky (JoAnn) Rockwell of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Marypat Stoner and her sister, Mary Andrea Otte.

A Memorial Service will be held at Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home, Saturday, April 14, 2018, 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Holly Anderle officiating. Relatives and friends may meet prior to the service 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. Private interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials to First Baptist Church have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Engel and the staff at Wheaton Franciscan Cancer Center and Aurora Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
