Susan Green

Age 76, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018. Sue was born on January 1, 1942, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Jacob and Marion (Lewis) DeWinter. She married James "Jim" Green and together they had a daughter Kim, who survives her. Sue was raised and lived her final years in the home on Kalamazoo's West Side that was built by her father. Sue loved to read, and enjoyed reading the New York Times. She was a huge MSU Spartan basketball and football fan. She enjoyed her bi-annual "Rowdy Girls" vacations with long-time friends and her trips with her daughter. She collected a Christmas ornament from everyplace she went; loved the holidays and watching Hallmark Christmas movies. Sue loved water from swim team to sailing; vacations up north and retirement floating in the pool. She loved chocolate and would often start her morning off with a hand full of Hershey Kisses. Sue was deeply loved and will be greatly missed. Besides Kim, Sue is survived by her brother, Dr. Robert (JoLynne) DeWinter of Grand Junction, nephews, Derek (Jennifer) DeWinter, Kurt (Brooke) DeWinter; a sister in law, Eleanor (Don) James of Jackson.
