Susan Ellison

The daughter of the late Leslie and Margaret (Gillette) DeCracker, Susan was born in Rochester, NY, in May 1953. The family moved to Michigan at when she 12. She later attended Michigan State University where she met her life-long partner, Larry Ellison. Their 42-year marriage began in 1976, and she peacefully passed away on December 16, 2018. Susan absolutely loved her career in medical science research. She was an enthusiastic, fun loving person who loved life and loved to laugh. This love, warmth and enthusiasm was generously shared with her family, her friends and also with strangers. Her passion for life was expressed in her consummate, detailed travel planning and the enjoyment of many, many extraordinary vacations. Another of her passions was for nature, flowers, butterflies and birds. She strived to surround herself with these. She was a strong and colorful person; her loving warmth will be missed and remembered with equally. Susan is survived by her husband, several cousins, a niece and three nephews along with her beloved Luna and Bella. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on May 11, 2019 at Gull Lake United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Paws with a Cause (4646 S.
