Susan Mae Doster, 68, of Delton passed peacefully on November 21, 2015 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. A graveside service will be held at Prairieville Cemetery on Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ron Watterly of McCullem United Bretheren Church officiating. Sue was born in Hastings, MI to George and Margaret Converse on November 14, 1947. She attended high school in Delton and graduated in 1966. Sue wed George Scott Doster on January 11, 1969 and bore two sons, George Jay and Branden Blu. She enjoyed careers as a waitress, store owner, customer service associate at Wal-Mart, as well as being a wife and mother. She served others in many different settings, such as sitting on a grand jury and being an Oregon county election judge. Sue was a 19-year survivor of breast cancer who inspired others and made friends everywhere she went. She celebrated Christmas all year long and was known as a ‘happy fabric-aholic’. Sue is preceded in death by her sister, Georgie Ann and her father, George Junior Converse. She is survived by her husband, George Scott Doster; mother, Margaret Ann Converse; sister Bobbie Jean (Converse) Miller; sons George Jay and Branden Blu and their wives. Sue leaves behind six grandchildren- Maggie Mae, Katherine Leticia, George Jayson, Cyrus Blu, Shelby Blu, and Nicholas James. The graveside service is open to the public. In lieu of visitation, a gathering will be held at 10124 M-43 (next to the Delton Flower Shop) on Saturday the 28th at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements handled by Life Story Funeral Homes, Plainwell; 120 S.
