65, of Molino, FL passed away on November 4, 2019 at West Florida Hospital in Pensacola, FL. Born in Kalamazoo, MI, Steven was a 1972 graduate of Kalamzoo Central High School. Over the years, he remained in close touch with many from his graduating class, and cherished those life-long friendships. His professional life included 30 years as a salesman in the automotive industry at SPX-Filtron as well as Delphi Diesel. After which he became well known around the country as owner of Dekk't Out Quilting Supply and a leading technician in long arm machine repair and sales. Steven was blessed with an ability to connect with others and has left a memorable impact on the lives of those he interacted with. As a member of Byrnesville United Methodist Church, and 22 year supporter of Bible Study Fellowship, Steven's community of friends in faith was a cornerstone in his life. Steven is preceded in death by his parents, Lorraine (Slesdet) Dekker, and William and Norma Dekker. He is survived by his loving wife, Rosemary C. Dekker (22 years); four children, Stephanie, Luke, Cassandra and Christopher; three step-children, Candace, Kristi and Tyler; and 20 grandchildren that brought so much joy to his life. As well as his brother, David Dekker of Palm Coast, FL and sister, Susan Sample of Milford, MI. A memorial service will be held in Lake Gunterville, AL, a favorite place of his, in June of 2020. Saved by Grace safely in the arms of his savior, Jesus Christ, Steven's great faith has now become sight.
