Starla Coffey

Passed away Wednesday August 28, 2019 at home. Starla was born April 13, 1951 in Kalamazoo the daughter of John and Frances (Vance) Lewis. She and her husband John owned the LaFontanella Italian Restaurant for 13 years, Starla enjoyed playing the guitar, singing, boating and spending time with family. On February 28, 1984 in Kalamazoo Starla was united in marriage to John Coffey who preceded her in death on October 25, 2012. Also preceding her in death is her brother Merle Lewis. Surviving are two children, Dennis (Cheryl) Snow, Tina (Russ) Campbell; two brothers, Terry (Glayda) Lewis, John Lewis; three grandchildren, Jordan (Michelle), Cody, Brayden; several nieces & nephews. Friends will be received 1:30-2:30 pm Friday, August 30, 2019, at Redmond Funeral Home, Kalamazoo. Graveside services will follow at 2:50 pm at Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery.
