Sophie B. Jalowiecz (Kruzel), aged 98, of Grand Rapids, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday evening, September 17, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph in 1994. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jane and Norbert Saindon; her grandchildren, Scott (Kim) Saindon and Michelle Saindon; great grandchildren, Gracelyn and Addison; her sisters-in-law, Lottie Kruzel and Virginia Taylor; many nieces, nephews and friends. Sophie was a loving and dedicated, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered. She was a longtime member of the Basilica of St. Adalbert, 671 Davis NW, where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with procession to Holy Cross Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to the American Heart Assn. Relatives and friends may meet her family Heritage Life Story Funeral Home – 2120 Lake Michigan Dr. NW on Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM with the rosary prayed at 7:00 PM and again on Wednesday at church from 10:00 AM until the Mass begins at 11:00 AM.
