Shirley Luckey

Passed away Friday evening June 19, 2020. Shirley was born May 22, 1930 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Swier and Dena (Izenbaard) Koning. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with the State of Michigan for 20 years before retiring. Shirley was a member of Haven Reformed Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; Andrew VanDenBos, the father of her children; her husband, Robert K. Luckey; a grandson, Niel VanDenBos; 5 brothers, Harry, John, Earl, Ralph, and Norm; 3 sisters, Nellie, Doris, and Elleen. She is survived by 4 children, Jerry (Colleen) VanDenBos of Paw Paw, James (Eva) VanDenBos of McLean, VA, Robert (Joni) VanDenBos of Martin, MI, and LouAnn VanDenBos of Kalamazoo; 8 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; a step daughter, Kelli (Scott) Morrison; a step grandchild, and 2 step great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Koning of Kalamazoo; and several nieces and nephews. Church services will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the Haven Reformed Church, 5350 North Sprinkle Rd. with Pastor Lin Batts officiating. Cremation has taken place. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Private burial will be in Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the charity of your choice.
