Shirley L. Cook

Shirley L. Cook, age 89, passed away Monday, March 30, 2015 at Franciscan Villa, South Milwaukee. Shirley was born in Birmingham, MI, October 1, 1925, daughter of the late Edmund and Marvel (Nee: Williams) Bunyan.

On October 19, 1951 in Angola, IN she was united in marriage to William R. Cook. She was a longtime member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church. An avid golfer, Shirley also enjoyed gardening, art, and winters spent in Gulf Shores, Alabama. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her loving husband of sixty-three years, Bill; her children, Dr. Elizabeth Westin of Lexington, KY, Steve (Amy) Cook of Cudahy; her grandchildren, Monica Westin of San Francisco, CA, Dr. Charles Westin of Chicago; half-sister, Carol Marsh; sisters-in-law, Judy Cook and Ann Cook; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 2, 2015, 5:00 P.M. at the funeral home with Rev. John Fleming officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the funeral home from 3:00 P.M. until time of service at 5:00 P.M. Private interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park.
