Shirley A. Miller, age 92, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at her residence. Shirley was born in Racine, April 1, 1923, daughter of the late Edward and Verna (Nee: Frechette) Sanders.

She was a graduate of William Horlick High School “Class of 1941”. In November of 1947 Shirley was united in marriage to Willard Miller who preceded her in death in 1984. She was a longtime member of St. Rita Catholic Church. Shirley enjoyed sports including watching the Brewers and Packers, but most of all she loved being an avid supporter of her grandchildren’s sports activities throughout the years. She also enjoyed vacationing in northern Wisconsin with her family.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Michael (Judy) Miller of Racine, Jennifer (Rick) Lennertz of Muskego; her seven grandchildren, Rick (Sarah) Lennertz III, Ross Lennertz, Jenna (Rob) Stoner, Jack Lennertz, Will Lennertz, Jessica Miller, Melissa Miller; sister, Patricia (John) Petro-Mueller; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert (Joanie) Miller, Violet Sanders, Mavis Sanders; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Deborah; and brothers, Eddie (Rosalind) Sanders, Bill Sanders, and Jack Sanders.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 10, 2015, 10:30 A.M. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Avenue, with Rev. Rich Young officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday at the church from 9:30 A.M. until time of Mass at 10:30 A.M. Memorials to St. Rita Catholic Church have been suggested.

A special thank you to the staff at West Allis Memorial Hospital for their loving and compassionate care.
