Sheryl Van Bruggen

Sheryl M. Van Bruggen, age 58, of Galesburg, MI died Sunday afternoon December 25, 2016 in Detroit, Michigan. Sheryl was born October 29, 1958 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a daughter of Raphael and Millie (Swim) Brigance. She had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and employed with AT&T for 35 years, retiring in March of 2013. On June 16, 1979, she was united in marriage to Reinnier VanBruggen Jr. who survives. Also surviving, 2 daughters, Sarah (Justin) Steeby of Kalamazoo and Melissa (Chad) Groetsema of Galesburg; a grandson, Owen; her parents, Raphael (Millie) Brigance of Galesburg; a sister, Michelle (Steve) Jackson of Kalamazoo; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held 11 o'clock Saturday from the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Visitation will be 5-7pm Friday at the chapel. Interment will be in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the West Michigan Cancer Center.
