Hillsburg, Sharon Schoolcraft, Michigan Sharon Hillsburg, age 84 of Schoolcraft, died at Rose Arbor Hospice Home on February 13, 2023. She was born on May 14, 1938, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Stephan and Ethel (Izsak) Stozicki. She was a bookkeeper for Otto Kihm, where she met Robert Hillsburg and they began dating. On May 21, 1960, they were married. She later did bookkeeping and supported Robert in his business, H&D Service Center. Sharon was a gifted seamstress, and also enjoyed doing upholstery. She enjoyed cooking and working around her home, tackling every task that came along. She cherished her time with her children and grandchildren. Sharon was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was always there when you needed her. Her summers were spent at Indian Lake. She loved to have the annual bacon fry. Some of her favorite things to do were, playing cards, puzzles, going to the casino with her late husband. She said "love is a powerful word. It's the real deal." She was the real deal and will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Hillsburg, her parents, and her sister Sondra (John) Manning. She is survived by her children: Robert (Melissa) Hillsburg, Thomas (Carol) Hillsburg, Kenneth (Tammy) Hillsburg and David (Krysta Lewandowski) Hillsburg; her grandchildren: Brian, Lauren, Sarah, Kaylee, Alyssa (Shane), Dani, Justin, Matt (Kellie), Kyle (Ashley) and Emily; her great-grandchildren; her brother Steve (Linda) Stozicki; and several nieces and nephews. The family will greet friends on Sunday, February 19, 2023, from 2:00-4:00 PM at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, Kalamazoo, where services will take place Monday, February 20, 2023 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Jim Dyke officiating.
