Sharon Farrington

Passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Borgess Medical Center, Age 71. Sharon was born in Kalamazoo on December 3, 1946, the daughter of the late Wilson D. Sincler and Blanche Hopper. She was employed as a bus driver with Comstock Public Schools, retiring after 18 years of service. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Comstock. She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed gambling, making several trips to the casino and playing bingo. She was married to Richard Farrington on October 9, 1982, who preceded her in death on July 5, 2016. She is survived by her son, Richard (Carol) Sieting; five grandchildren, Daloma, Ashley, Bobby, Jared and Jeremy; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Gordon Sincler, Donna Grogg, Mary Jane Sincler, Wilson Sincler, Donald Sincler, Richard Sincler, Melvin Sincler and Irene Jordan. Friends may visit with the family from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St., Kalamazoo, MI 49007. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 31, 2018 at the funeral chapel, officiated by Pastor Dean Sanford of First Free Will Baptist Church. Following the service, interment will take place in Ft. Custer National Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association.
