Scott John Jessup passed away in his home in Traverse City, Michigan on August 13, 2018. Scott was born on July 13, 1994 in North Shields, England. He is survived by his parents Michael Preston Jessup and Alison Jessup, his brother Darryl Jessup, grandparents Margaret (Peggy) Jessup, William and Margaret Dick, aunts and uncles Pauline and Kieran McDonnell, Alan and Jane Dick, Susan and Graham Campbell and Phillip and Julie Jessup. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Allan Jessup and his aunt Dr. Janice Jeffery. He also has many cousins, relatives and friends who are saddened by his death.

Scott found his passion in the culinary world; he was a creative chef and thrived in the kitchen. Scott was a student at Great Lakes Culinary Institute at Northwestern Michigan College and worked at Apache Trout Grill, Peninsula Grill and the Haggerty Banquet Center. He was especially proud of a number of featured items he created including his signature deconstructed Tiramisu.

Scott was a talented athlete excelling in swimming, diving trampoline and tumbling. In Diving, he earned All American honors and a Michigan State Championship in 2012. He also earned national championships in all 3 years he attended the National Trampoline and Tumbling Competitions. Scott enjoyed playing guitar and he savored the beauty and splendor of Northern Michigan through longboarding, boating, snowboarding, motor-biking and hiking with his family and German shepherds.

Though his time on this earth was short, he had a zest for life, loved his family and friends and embraced all the trials and joys that came his way with his innate sense of humor and his infectious smile. Please sign the guestbook and share your thoughts and memories with the family.
