On July 2, 2016, the everyday smiles we saw from Sarah ceased here on Earth but joyfully began in Heaven. While her departure was sudden and unexpected, Sarah was surrounded by her ever loving parents in the comfort of her home. She was 43 years old.

Sarah was born in Racine, November 26, 1972, daughter of Edward and Linda (Nee: Youngren) Garner. She attended Wadewitz Elementary School. Sarah enjoyed being with family whether it was playing games, joking around, listening to her niece and nephews on the telephone, or having people spend time sitting with her. She loved to sing and her two favorites were Blake Shelton and Josh Groban. She loved all animals, especially her cat Emily of 21 years. Anyone that ever met Sarah was touched by her contagious smile and her examples of strength and determination. Sarah loved her family beyond measure and it was reciprocated in all that was shown throughout her life. She was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, godmother and friend.

Sarah will be dearly missed by her parents Edward and Linda Garner of Racine, WI, siblings Sean (Laurie) Garner of Elmira, NY, Amy (Aaron) Jerome of Nashville, TN, and Rebecca (Brian) Katsetos of Nashville, TN, her niece and nephews and countless other wonderful relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Russell Sr. and Mary Youngren, paternal grandparents Tony and Adeline Garner, Uncle Mark Garner, and Baby Katsetos.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, July 11, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring Street, with Rev. Terrance J. Huebner officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Sunday at the funeral home from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. and Monday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass at 11:00 A.M. Because of Sarah’s love for children, all memorials will be donated to a hospital for children’s causes.

The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to all the medical professionals that have helped Sarah with her care throughout the years.
