Sandra L. Thompson, age 73, passed away Tuesday February 27, 2018 at Wheaton Franciscan Hospital in Franklin. Sandra was born in South Milwaukee on August 12, 1944, daughter of the late Harvey and Margaret (nee: Guse) Cline.

Sandy graduated from Bayview High School. On January 2, 1964, she was united in marriage to Bartholomew “Bart” Thompson at St. Veronica’s Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Sandy was employed with St. Vincent DePaul for fifteen years. She was a member of St. Mary’s by the Lake Catholic Church. In her spare time, Sandy will be remembered for her love of reading, cooking, watching her grandson play baseball, the Packers and Badgers, and her vast collection of pigs. Above all, she will be best remembered for her great love and devotion to her family.

Sandy will be dearly missed by her loving husband of fifty four years, Bart; children, Lisa (Kevin) Toutant, Michael (Hannah) Thompson, all of Racine; grandchildren, Arianna (James) Bard, Marissa Toutant, Mark Toutant; great grandchildren, James, Killian and Greyson Bard, and Raelynn Phillips; brother, Jack (Kristine) Cline; sister, Nancy (Gordon) Robinson; brothers-in-law, David (Mary) Thompson, Gerry Thompson, Phil Thompson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary’s By the Lake Catholic Church, 7605 Lakeshore Dr, on Wednesday March 7, 2018, 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Stephen J. Stradinger officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11;00 a.m. Memorials to St. Mary’s by the Lake Catholic Church or one’s favorite charity have been suggested.

The family extends a special thank you to the entire staff at Wheaton Franciscan Hospital in Franklin for all of their wonderful care.
