Sandra Davidson

Sandra Davidson, of Gobles, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2026, in the comfort of her home. She was born on December 31, 1936, in Plainwell, the daughter of Rush and Lucille (Maxwell) Madison.

Sandra married the love of her life, Wallace "Wally" Davidson Sr., on September 10, 1955. She devoted many years to caring for her family as a homemaker, taking great pride in making a loving home for her husband and children. After Wally retired, Sandra returned to the workforce, working in data entry for National City Bank.

Faith was an important part of Sandra's life. She was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church and, most recently, was a member of Gobles United Methodist Church, where she was very active in the church's women's group. She also gave many years of service as a Girl Scout leader and was a member of West Oshtemo Grange #1630.

Sandra and Wally loved traveling and created countless memories with their family. They took their children on many memorable trips, including a special trip to California. After they both retired, Sandra and Wally traveled extensively in their RV, crossing the country and traveling through nearly half of Canada over the course of almost 14 years. One of Sandra's favorite adventures was their trip to Alaska.

Above all, Sandra cherished her family. She loved caring for them and found great joy in being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her love, devotion, and care will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Sandra is survived by her children, Wallace Davidson Jr. (Linda Penrod), Scott Davidson, Karen Flick, and Mark Davidson; and her grandchildren, Cheryl Boysen, Jared (Patricia) Flick, and Mitchell Penrod-Davidson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wallace Davidson Sr.; her sisters, Marcia Francisco and Cherie Peasley; and her beloved great-grandsons, Hayden and Logan Flick.

Funeral services will be held at Langeland Family Funeral Homes 3926 S. 9th St. on Friday, September 4. Visitation will begin at 10 AM until the funeral starts at 11 AM. Lunch will follow at the funeral home before a 2 PM graveside service at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park – South 3941 S Westnedge Ave, Kalamazoo, MI 49008.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wings of Hope Hospice 530 Linn St, Allegan, MI 49010.
