Ruth Evelyn Tackett, 94, was called home on March 16, 2017, by Jesus to be with her four babies, who preceded her in death: Leilani (Leon) Mendoza, Cecil (Gloria) Tackett, Charles (Kimberly) Tackett and Carla (Robert) Hostetler. She was born to Robert and Bertha Snell on September 12, 1922. She was also preceded in death by her husbands (Charles and Cecil Tackett). She is survived by three daughters: Pamela (James) Ballard, Marilyn (Kenneth) Hostetler and Terri Ballard; 26 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren. She was an amazing, strong woman, who did anything and everything for her family. She will be missed more than anyone can even imagine. Services will be held on April 1, 2017, at Kalamazoo Missionary Church (5045 E. Michigan, Kalamazoo, MI 49048) at 11:00 a.m. Luncheon will follow.
