Ruth Hempen

Evelyn (Rantz) Hempen, age 87, entered her heavenly home on Thursday, July 18, 2019. She was preceded in death by her husband, Severin "Zeb" Hempen; daughter, Diana Rae Shull; grandson, Adam T. Halperin; and brother, Joe Rantz. Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her children, Nancy L. (Richard) Bottorff of Carmel, IN, Fredrick "Fritz" (Rhonda) Shull of Monroe, MI, Lindsey A. Shull (Robert Strahl) of Byron Center; granddaughters, Keli L. (Jason) Masten of Kentwood, Alexa Shull of Ann Arbor; great grandchildren, Zander and Zoey Masten of Kentwood; sister, Carol (Fred) Adams of Orlando, FL. The family will greet visitors on Monday, July 22, from 10 am to 12 noon at Woodward Baptist Church, 2160 76th St. SW, Byron Center, where the funeral service will begin at 12 noon. Pastor Lance Laker will officiate. Interment will be in East Martin Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Woodward Baptist Church.
