Haase, Ruth 7/18/1935 - 3/17/2022 Kalamazoo Ruth (Schippers) Haase, 86, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 17, 2022, as he reached down his hand to her to take her to his heavenly home, she was free of worldly stress and pain. She was born July 18, 1935, in Kalamazoo to the late James and Fannie (Izenbaard) Schippers. Ruth lived her life to the fullest. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of over 50 years, Max Haase Jr.; son-in-law, Richard Carleton Freeman; daughter-in-law, Virginia (Friend) Haase; all of her loving siblings; and her in-laws, Max and Ida Haase, Sr. Ruth left behind her 6 darling delights and their spouses to cherish her memory; 12 beautiful grandchildren and 12 wonderful great grandchildren, Payton, Kenzie, Logan, Camden, Cayden, Sloan, Silas, Shelly, Carly, Madeline, Katherine and Lucas. Ruth will be sadly missed by those who knew her for her love of life and caring personality. Ruth loved her family with all her heart and always made sure they were taken care of in sickness and health as they grew up, as her family took care of her in her declining years. She was kind, honest, beautiful and loved by all. Ruth graduated from Kalamazoo Central and went to work at Upjohn right out of school. She married the love of her life, Max, on October 18, 1958, and decided to stop working and raise her family that she called her 6 darling delights. Ruth loved to sew, making clothes for all her children as they grew up. She also loved to bowl, play golf, and travel with Max to visit family in the South. Ruth was the accountant for Max's company, Max Haase Jr Custom Builders. She also worked other accounting jobs as her kids grew up and were in school, but her favorite job was raising her kids with love and respect for others.
