Roy Chenery

Chenery, Roy W. Kalamazoo Age 94, passed away on October 1st. Roy was born in Kalamazoo on December 21, 1920 to the late Roy Sr. and Addie (Wilson) Chenery. On March of 1943, he married Dorothy L. Clark who preceded him in death on March 2, 2013 just days short of 70 years of marriage. Roy was a World War 2 veteran. He served in the Persian Gulf Command and was stationed in Iran as a radio operator. Roy then worked for Michigan Bell and retired after 42 years of service. Roy leaves behind three sons David (Phyllis), Bruce (Joene), and Mark (Julie): four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Honoring Roy's request cremation has taken place. A service at Fort Custer National Cemetery is scheduled on Wednesday, October 7th @ 2:00 p.m. Following with a reception @ the American Legion, Post 298 on 20th Street in Battle Creek.
