Rosemary Keena

KEENA - Rosemary Barbara Keena, aged 85, formerly of Grandville, died at St. Mary's Hospital on August 7, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 29, 1924 in Queens, NY to John Paul and Rose Dojahn. She proudly served our country in the US Marines during WWII. Rosemary was a kind and gentle soul who instilled the value of an education in all her children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Sr. and son, Kevin Mark Keena. She leaves behind to cherish her memory children, Carolyn (Douglas) Benkert, Kathleen (William) Holloway, Robert (Linda) Keena Jr., Thomas (Susan) Keena, Brigid (Gary) Daniels and Brian (Jamey) Keena; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; sisters, Katherine Pisciotta of Glendale, NY and Pauline Dojahn of Dolgerville, NY. In keeping with her wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held on August 15, 2009 at Resurrection Cemetery.
