Surrounded by her loving family, Rose L. Hunt, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Wheaton Franciscan – All Saints Medical Center. Rose was born in Shelby, Nebraska, February 1, 1927, daughter of the late Rudolph and Anna (Nee: Luft) Korger.

On October 7, 1944 she was united in marriage to Fredrick W. Hunt who preceded her in death, October 26, 2002. Rose was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, painting, birds, crafts, fancy sewing work, and loved to fish. More than anything she cherished her family, especially time spent with her grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed by her sons, James (Judy) Hunt of Mukwonago, Kenneth (Janet) Hunt of Morganton, NC, Carl (Janice) Reisterstown, MD, Thomas (Sandy) Hunt of Racine; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother and sisters, C.J. (Adeline) Korger of Franksville, Veronica Peters of Marshfield, Christina (David) Minor of Pittsville; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her two sisters, Leona Lyrenmann and Theresa Gotz.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 1, 2015, 11:00 A.M. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Avenue, with Rev. Rich Young OSA officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 A.M. Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association have been suggested.
