Rosanne Marie Kamnetz Manske of The Villages, FL, was called to eternal life on July 2, 2017, at the age of 65. From her birth on August 29, 1951, in Cumberland, WI, to her final days, Rosanne will be fondly remembered for her exceptional kindness, optimism, generosity, faith, and ever-present smile. During her childhood, she loved spending time with her siblings and friends -- especially on the lake -- and was involved in many activities, including basketball and theater. After graduating as valedictorian, she spent some of her most cherished years attending Valparaiso University, where as a junior, she was voted Spring Queen. While at Valpo, she caught the eye of law student John Manske; the two were married soon after she graduated and moved to his hometown of Kalamazoo, MI, to begin their new life together. A full-time mom for many years, Rosanne made every day special for her children, who have wonderful memories of the birthday parties, family vacations, and holidays she planned -- her homemade Halloween costumes were unrivaled! Even as adults, she would welcome her kids home with handmade signs. She contributed to the Kalamazoo community in many ways, such as volunteering with the Junior League and in her children's schools. Her involvement with Zion Lutheran Church was very important to her: she played the organ and piano, was active in Stephen Ministry, and taught Sunday School. Rosanne's career as a second grade teacher at Haverhill Elementary School was a perfect match for her curiosity, patience, and love of learning. Rosanne poured tireless energy into her work, and her legacy continues through the positive impact she made on the lives of many students, families, and colleagues. Upon their retirement in 2010, Rosanne and John moved to The Villages and thrived, having fun with many new friends and enjoying countless rounds of golf. A beloved mother and grandmother, Rosanne is survived by her children, Jill, Julianne (Jake), and Jay (Gina), and grandchildren: Nathan, Sophia, Vivian, and Josephine. She is an adored sister of Stephen (Dianne), Brian, Jane, Gregg (Mary Beth), and Karen (Scot), and aunt to several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Hope Lutheran Church in The Villages on Saturday, July 22 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in Rosanne's name to organizations that are meaningful to her. To donate, please visit http://bit.ly/RememberingRosanne
