Ron Stevens passed away unexpectedly August 23rd. Ron was born and raised in Flint Michigan. After serving four years in the Army followed by service in the National Guard, Ron met and then married Eleanor (Palmer) Tulgetske. Ron and Eleanor moved to Kalamazoo, Michigan to attend Western Michigan University. Ron worked at the former Lakeside Home for Boys followed by accounting work for Stafford-Smith Beverage Vending. He then worked as property manager for Bronson Hospital. In addition to Flint and Kalamazoo Ron lived in Traverse City, Michigan, Glenwood Springs Colorado and then settled into Jackson Wyoming. Ron was an active outdoorsman enjoying camping, hiking, fly fishing and outdoor photography. He also volunteered at The National Museum of Wildlife Art, the Jackson Senior Center and Library Bookstore, as well as at the Presbyterian Church of Jackson Hole. Ron is survived by 7 children Karen (Jenkins), Susan (Warner), Paul Tulgetske, Leslie (Taaffee), Nancy Stevens, David Stevens, and Lisa (Grace), as well as 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, as well as his sister Helen (Jakubik) and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the Bethany Reformed Church (1833 South Burdick Street, Kalamazoo) on Saturday October 13th at 11:00AM followed by a luncheon at the church.
