Ronald L. Waydick left this earth unexpectedly to join his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday July 31, 2015. Ronald was born in Racine on March 3, 1949, son of the Willard and Leona (nee: Held) Waydick.

On November 7, 1981, Ron was married to the love of his life, Elaine Nelson. Since that day, they shared thirty three beautiful years together. He was last employed at Great Lakes Naval Base and previously at Lincoln Lutheran and Gold Metal Furniture. Ron was actively involved with the Civil Air Patrol. He was a dedicated member of the First Church of God and was a former member of the Church of the Nazarene and their senior “Young at Heart” ministry. Ron enjoyed art of any kind, bowling, hunting, playing cribbage, miniature golf, Sunday drives and video games.

Ron will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Elaine; his stepdaughter, Tracy Bogan; siblings, Beverly Gentry, Judy (Allen) Mueller, Sandi McQuade; his mother-in-law, Jeanette Nelson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Keith Fenske, Joann Amerson, Mary (Ronald) Guarascio, Sue Simmons, Eugene Nelson, Richard (Joyce) Nelson; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Waydick; sister, Nancy Fenske; brothers-in-law, David Gentry, Jack Plunkett, Rich McQuade, and Bill Amerson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 13, 2015, 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Ryan C. Reed officiating. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Thursday at the funeral home from 9:30 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M.
