Jones, Ronald Monroe "Ron" 8/1/1960 - 3/22/2021 Gull Lake, Michigan Ronald Monroe "Ron" Jones, age 60, of Gull Lake passed away on Monday evening, March 22, 2021 at Bronson Hospital, Kalamazoo. He was born in Kalamazoo on August 1, 1960, the loving son of Robert G. and Grace (Meints) Jones. Ron and his parents owned and operated the RM Jones Gift Shop in Kalamazoo for many years. On June 27, 1992, Ron married the "Love of His Life", Cheri Rose on the Lady Gull Diva on Gull Lake; she survives. He is also survived by his mother, Grace; his sister, Barbara Wright; a niece, Jennifer Lint (Rob), and four nephews, Larry, Billy, John & David Wright. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert G. Jones, and his grandparents, Helen & Roland Jones. A true lover of nature and wildlife, Ron contributed to many wildlife and conservationist organizations. He kept the two bird feeders in his yard well stocked throughout the year. He was an avid boater and enjoyed music, NASCAR racing, muscle, classic & antique cars. He loved baseball and earned a letter in baseball while attending Loy Norrix High School. He was a loyal fan of the Detroit Tigers and Lions. Cremation has taken place and no services are being planned.
