Ronald Carl

Ron, age 87, died Wednesday evening, April 8, 2020 at his residence with his loving children at his side. Ron, the son of Joseph H. and Marie T. (Stirner) Carl, was born in Kalamazoo on January 4, 1933; was a lifetime resident and a 1951 graduate of St. Augustine Catholic High School. He retired in 1997 from Hammond Machinery of Kalamazoo after 47 years of faithful service as an Electrician and Service Manager. He was an active member of St. Ann Catholic Church, Augusta, MI. Ron was a man of great faith who loved the Lord and the Blessed Mother. He spent several hours each day in prayer for his family. Ron's hobbies included bowling, fishing, hunting, gardening and maintaining his property. Ron was united in marriage to the former, Brenda Marie Nemedi in St. Augustine Cathedral, Kalamazoo on June 14, 1952 and she sadly preceded him in death on February 20, 2016. Surviving are three daughters, Diane M. Carl of Delton, MI, Janet K. (Roy) Tyler of Constantine, MI and Julie A. (John) Ehlich of Kalamazoo; four sons, Daniel J. (Tami) Carl of Kalamazoo, Deacon Michael A. (Mary) Carl of Richland, MI, James R. (Janice) Carl of Comstock, MI and Thomas R. Carl of Traverse City, MI; nineteen precious grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren. Ron was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Carl. Due to the Health Crisis, a private, family service has been held. When we can safely gather again, a memorial mass to celebrate Ron's life will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church. Interment was in Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Kalamazoo, MI.
