He loved the outdoors including gardening, cutting wood, grilling his special "Salt Steak" and talking with his goats and animals. He always greeted you with "Good Morning" no matter what time of the day it was. He loved spending time with family and friends at the lake lots on Duck and Minkler Lakes where he would grill, fish and go on pontoon rides. Those left to cherish Roland's memory are his sister, Sandra (Jack) Bale, his children, Jody (Mike) Wagner, Ronnie Wait, Steven (Laura) Wait and Fred (Sandy) Wait; his grandchildren, Erin O'Reilly, Megan O'Reilly and Sean (Kourtney) O'Reilly, Sean (Brandye) Schmitt, Jessica Wait, Kyle Wait and Haley Wait; his great-grandchildren, Owen Scott, Delaney O'Reilly, McKinley O'Reilly and Landrey O'Reilly; and many nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, Fred and Marie, and his wife, Marcia, he is preceded in death by his brother, Allen (Rachel) Wait. In accordance with recent regulations regarding the pandemic, and in an effort to maintain the health and safety of loved ones, funeral services will be held privately with burial at Hudson Corners Cemetery.
