Mr. Roger C. Zeinstra, aged 82, of Grand Rapids passed away peacefully on September 30, 2015 after a short battle with Alzheimer’s. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil “Bob” and Marion Zeinstra; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Peter and Frances Zweedyk; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Lynne and Arnie Terpstra; and sister-in-law, Betty Reed. Roger is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Thelma; children, Robert and Kris Zeinstra, David Zeinstra, Thomas and Jane Zeinstra, and Joan and Tim Van Dyke; grandchildren, Sue and Jason Kelley, Nicole and Rick Burke, Josh Zeinstra, Julia, Jim, Sarah, and Nate Van Dyke; great-grandchildren, Conner, Taran, and Aden Kelley. Also surviving are sister, Lois and Jerry Minier; brothers-in-law, Len and Marilyn Zweedyk and John and Marilyn Zweedyk; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Roger was the owner/operator of Baker Auto Parts for many years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, October 5, 2015 at West Leonard Christian Reformed Church, 1053 Leonard St. NW. The family will receive visitors from 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Sunday at Heritage Life Story Funeral Homes, 2120 Lake Michigan Dr. NW.
